Mr Del Doune's Visit to the Educare Centre
On the 7th of October Del Doune and his friend Friedrich Koppmeier from Germany arrived at Cape Town airport on a visit to the Don Bosco Educare Centre at Delft.One of the main reasons for this visit was to oversee the safe arrival of 134 shoeboxes filled with goodies for the children of the Educare Centre. Shared Lives would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated items to fill these shoeboxes. They will be kept safe till nearer Christmas. Then they will be given out to the children.
Del and Friedrich also went to visit the children and staff at the Educare Centre an experience that will stay with them for a long time. Everyone was so happy to see them and made them welcome, Many a happy hour was spent watching the children go about their school day and taking photos and video footage.
